You should switch to SSH here :)
Our manufacturing network is not using SSH and it is not installed on HP-UX systems. Why should I use SSH in this case?
Application starts but I'm getting these messages:
Warning: cannot allocate colormap entry for "#347256" Warning: cannot allocate colormap entry for "#aflc2c" Warning: cannot allocate colormap entry for "#4359b8" Warning: cannot allocate colormap entry for "#4848bd" Warning: cannot allocate colormap entry for "#4f6497" Warning: cannot allocate colormap entry for "#5383dc"
What is really interesting that one Linux box (runs SuSE 6.4
v. 3.3.6) starts this application without any problem or warnings but another Linux box (runs SuSE 7.0 Pro XF86 v. 3.3.6) is giving
XFree86 these
messages. They both have an identical configuration and nearly identical /etc/XF86Config files. Could somebody tell me please where and what should I check on the second Linux box to fix this issue.
Are you running 8bpp here? Looks like you run out of colors. Do you use a different window manager?
Yes I run 8bpp and I'm using KDE with its own window manager. Thanks in advance for any help. Alex
