I've posted this before, thinking I had a conflict, but now I'm not so
sure.
During installation of 6.4, it found and configured my SBLive! card
using the emu10k driver. I could hit the TEST button and I would get
the sound.
After the systems came up, I login using KDE and go to system sounds
and
click on a sound file and then click TEST. I hear the sound, and the
machine locks up _completely_. And the sound keeps playing, like it's
in a loop.
I then installed a RH6.2 distro (it was actually Abit's Gentus 3.0a
which uses RH) and the sound worked great after installing it. No
lockups at all.
So, I thought I would try SuSE 6.4 again and try and figure this one
out.
FYI, this is on an SMP machine, it's an Abit BP6. Could it have
something to do with SMP and sound? Just a thought.
Please help.
Thank you,
Daniel
