I have been trying to install a qt development environment, Qtez ( http://qtez.ibl.sk/ http://qtez.ibl.sk/ ) for about a week now, but have had limited success. I can get it to start (see splash screen), but then I immediately get a segmentation fault. Just wondering if anyone had been successful in building and running this program on SuSE 6.4. I have qt-2.2.0 installed (in a separate directory from qt-1.45). This leads me to the second question. I did a search for core files just in case qtez dumped core. I found a file called core in /dev which was huge (134+ MB)! Actually, it was a link to /proc/kcore. Any idea what this file is? Can I safely delete it?
