Hi all,
I had no problems in converting my Toshiba Satellite 4060XCDT laptop from
6.4 to 7.0.
The PCMCIA ports were set up all in its stride - I was pleasantly surprised
to insert in my modem card, and to be able to dial out immediately with
wvdial... :-)
Best regards,
Des Aubery...

Hi,
I had the same problem trying to put 6.4 onto a Toshiba. When I got 7.0, it went onto a Carrera notebook very smoothly - I had the pcmcia network card running within a couple of minutes of completing the installation.
There were so many things involved in getting the Toshiba up and running that I abandonned it and gave the machine back to the people who lent it to me...

When upgrading from 6.2 to 6.3 and again from 6.3 to 6.4, my notebook hung during initialization of the PCMCIA functionality.
It turned out that I had to get a newer version of kernel_modules (if I remember correctly), compile and install.
I hope that this defeciency is corrected now, as I can't find it in the support database with the keyword "7.0", but I'd like to know for sure.
