I don't think that AGP is responsible for this.  Prior releases of the driver
did not have AGP support, and I was getting 100fps with an AMD Athlon 600Mhz
and a GeForce 256.  I would suspect something else.  Did you remove the
file /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.a.  I have found that XF86-4.01
loaded this in preference to /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so.
