Hi,
I have used SuSE for two years without any problem, but I can't solve
with one.
I'm trying to used SuSE 6.4 in a local network. The PC client hace their
IP adresse configured via DHCP.
A Linux server is used for internail mail exchanges. All seems to be
working fine, except that there a delay of 35 seconds for each SMTP, POP
and Telnet connection.
When we add the client name in /etc/host or in the DNS, the delay
disapears. But I thnink that this is not an acceptable solution because
of DHCP.
I heard that this is due to identd, but I don't know how to disable it.
In /etc/rc.config, START_IDENTD is set to "no", and no identd process is
running.
Any idea?
Thanks for any help.
Philippe.
