Hi, I cannot give a full answer to your question, because I don't have 7.0 yet, but there was (as you may know), a similar problem in the past under 6.3, and the cure was just to set a simlink. I include below the relevant extract from the SuSE database. Regards, Geoff Symptom: You are trying to run xsane but recieve the following error message: xsane: error in loading shared libraries: libsane- dll.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Problem: xsane is sourcing the wrong directory or path for the libraries it needs to run. Solution: Log in as root. Set the following Symlink: ln -s /usr/lib/sane/libsane-dll.so.1 /usr/lib/libsane-dll.so.1 Now, you should be able to start xsane. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
