My "basic hardware configuration" would not boot the SuSE cd. The manual- looking at 7.0, as my 6.4 manual is not handy- p520 says basic installation on a standalone machine is supported. If the install cd does not boot, that sounds pretty basic. As I have said, I did not expect an engineer to rewrite the driver.
