OK, trying to tackle Samba tonite.

Here is what (I think) matters...

(excerpt from smb.conf)

encrypt passwords = yes
smb passwd file = /etc/smbpasswd

[web]
        comment = Web
        path = /usr/local/httpd
        public = yes
        writable = yes
        printable = no

I am trying to connect to this share from a Windows98 machine using the
following command:

Net use y: \\10.1.1.2\web

I added the user name and password to the linux box (the same as it is in my
NT domain).

It then asks me for a network password, which I type in and receive the
following:

Error 86: The specified password is not correct, type the correct password
or contact your network administrator for more information.

Now, I tried contacting the Network Admin but he don't know nothin'  :)

Any help would be MUCHO appreciated.
