Well, I see the apps listed but I see no way to remove them from the list. Also, needing to do this manually on every logout would be just as annoying as having the apps restart when I next log in!
Sorry, I am using KDE 1.94 beta5, where at the logout window you can select whether or not to restore open apps... I went back to KDE1 and, in fact, you are right... and I don't know of a solution to your question. Maybe that's why they included this feature in kde2! I suggest you give KDE2 a shot. There are SuSE rpms out there and installation is really easy. Besides KDE2 has some nice features. Hope I can be of some help next time!
