Hello SuSE folkz, I can add to this one more problem with SuSE 7.0 I upgraded SuSE 6.4 to 7.0 version. When I try to use help (susehilf package) I'm getting: KFM Error Could not list directory contents file://localhost/usr/share/doc/susehilf/index_e.html/ I chose Roxen web server to use with susehilf if it matters. Could somebody please help me to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance. Alex On Mon, 18 Sep 2000, Helgi Örn wrote:
Hi SuSE'rs!
Now I've made my third 7.0 installation and this time it seems to be working quite good. I have a few small things that I can't figure out though:
1. The ever so annoying xconsole popping up in at startup was easy to get rid of in 6.4 by deleting the last three lines in /usr/X11/lib/X11/Xsetup_0, but now i can't find any Xsetup_0 file.
2. Kmail is supposed to keep it's file 'addressbook' in ~/kde/share/apps/kmail, I saved my addressbook file from 6.4 and put it there but kmail keeps saying it can't open the file ~/kde/share/apps/kmail/addressbook so I can't use it.
3. When playing a MIDI file the program (kmid) pretends it playing, but there's no sound coming out.
4. Kppp claims in the start that: This kernel has no ppp support, neither compiled nor via the kernel module loader. But it allows me to configure itself and it query's the modem and I can dial out, it connects but can not log into the network.
5. Kinternet & YaST2: Kinternet starts with the message; No dial mode configured in /etc/rc.dialout. Use YaST2 to configure. YaST2 crashes when querying the modem (it finds it and crashes). I can't find any help on writing the rc.dialout by hand in the library of books by SuSE nor in the kinternet help-docs.
6. Wvdial works fine but I would like to do automatic reconnect instead of the default: --> Idle Seconds = 180, disabling automatic reconnect.
Thanks in advance for any help on this.
Keep on SuSEing! Helgi Örn --
