Does SuSE 6.3 (with a new 2.2.17 kernel installed) need to be fed any special commands to activate UDMA 66 HD support?
did you get the kernel from SuSE or from the normal kernel source archive? If it is SuSE's kernel, then no, you do not need to do anything. If it is a standard kernel, then you will need to patch it with the ide patch located in the "people/hendrick" subdirectory of the kernel source ftp site.
