I'm using the Linksys BEFSR41, it works fine for me, haven't
had time to setup a Linux or *BSD solution. I've run portscans
on the Linksys and am quite pleased with the results.

The only gripe I have against the Linksys BEFSR41 is
in order to upgrade the firmware you MUST to use Windows,
so your friend will have to have a Windows partion on one of
his systems.
