For any editor question, XEmacs always has an answer!
Hit escape, then drag the mouse to mark the rectangle. The
Ctrl-x,r,k to cut the rectangle, and Ctrl-x,r,y to yank it
back. I don't know about a copy - look for "rectangle" in
the online help.
