I have a standalone SuSE linux box, my problem is that when I log on as one of my user accounts I can not access or surf the web. When logged on as root I have no problem and I can surf the web. KPPP works and logs onto my ISP, but I can't ping or reach any websites when logged on as a user. I have the user set to users group ID. What's going on, anyone know? I can't think of anything else. I've been reading all my Linux books, SuSE manuels and other info on the web with my Win box, but I can't find the answer. I don't want to use root to surf. Do I need to set permissions or something or what?
