Hi To get rid of the conflict error messages, you first need to remove the old package usinf rpm -e WHATEVER from the command line or use something like kpackage. Then it should install. The alternative is to force the installation which will probably be Ok use rpm -ivh file.rpm --force the command rpm2cpio then you can use cpio to uncompress the file.
