I know there have been several posts lately regarding Xfree86-4.01, but I wasn't planning on upgrading so I didn't pay too close attention. However, I just bought the game Terminus and found out that in order for my RIVA TNT to work, I need "Xfree86-4.0 or higher". I went back and re-read some of the earlier posts, and I am a little confused about which is the best way to go. (I'm currently running 6.4 w/ 3.3.6). 1. If I remember correctly the Xfree version 4.0 on the 6.4 CDs does not work correctly....? 2. There seems to have been mixed success using the update from the SuSE ftp site. (Some folks had no probs - others had lots...) 3. Using 4.01 from xfree.org works, but there seems to have been a lot of problems involved in getting it to work. Could someone who has been successful in upgrading to 4.0 from 3.3.6 please post a detailed recap of the steps they took to get it all working correctly (especially if you have a nvidia card :-) . I would very much appreciate this! Thanks!
