I went into yast and marked libjpeg for removel, then chose Install and it reinstalled the old package. Don't know if that is the right way but it worked. Then, as root, switch to /usr/lib then do ln -s libjpeg.so.6.0.1 libjpeg.so.62 That made everything work here. I even updated XFCE to the latest 3.5 version and it runs great. I have run into this problem as well, but the solution is not totally clear to me. I should reinstall the old libjpeg rpm, right? And then maek a symlink. I am not clear enough on doing this yet. I can read the command for doing this, but i am not sure which one comes first and which last in the command. Could someone give me the comand, and tell me why it works as it should?
My problem is kfm and a few other programs failing with the message, wrong library, caller expected 6.t and found 6.2, as best I remember it.
