Hi, and thanks ahead of time for any help. Here's my problem and how it started: /dev/hda = Maxtor 7200 RPM 20 GB /dev/hdb = WD 5200 RPM 2 GB I had windows on hda mandrake 7.0 on hdb erased mandrake, formatted hdb to FAT32 backed up files on to hdb erased hda put suse 6.3 on which I'm using now. I want to mount hdb to /hdb so I can access those files. Here's my /etc/fstab ## Modified by Kfstab 0.4.0 ## Copyright Dirk Holtwick, Andreas Reuter, 1998, 1999 #### /dev/hda3 / ext2 defaults 1 1 #### /dev/hda1 /boot ext2 defaults 1 2 #### /dev/hdc /cdrom iso9660 ro,noauto, user, exec 0 0 #### /dev/fd0 /floppy auto noauto, user 0 0 #### /dev/hdb5 /hdb vfat defaults 0 0 #### none /proc proc defaults 0 0 ####-Í( /dev/hda2 swap swap defaults 0 0 Output of mount /hdb root@Heartlands:/ > mount /hdb mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb5, or too many mounted file systems (aren't you trying to mount an extended partition, instead of some logical partition inside?)
