While adding some packages and deleting some I didn't think I needed I now find myself unable to log in. While the machine is running I am OK but being a laptop I musr switch off soon. The error message at attempting log in is libpam.so.0 unavailable ie my existing login is still working but I shall not be able to get in once I switch off. Have tried log in as an alternative user but get same error message, also when tried as root. =3D20 Am in windowmaker hence cannot start yast without su to root (but cannot log in as root !!!). Is it possible to mount the relevant cd (am using 6.2) and copy the file across? If so which CD and to where should I copy it?
