I installed Helix GNOME on my SuSE-6.4 distro over the top of the previously installed GNOME. Some things weren't happy (gimp) and you end up with 2 copies of a lot of things, but it basically works. I figured I was letting myself in for trouble so I backed out, switched to single user mode, then removed every GNOMEish package I could find (plus all the config files I could find), then installed Helix again. Totally sweet after that.
I want to update some rpm files of gnome 1.2 over the YaST (I have SuSE 6.4 on my machine). Could I have some porblems after the update?
