Hi,
I'm using Suse 6.2 on a P2-350. Few days ago my system suddenly became slow. Commands start to take more time to execute, starting X-server became slow and once it was loaded, everything I did in there was takin too much time to load. I had earlier installed Xserver 4.0 downloaded from Suse site for Suse6.2 . It installed and worked fine. But now I have this problem. I don't recall downing anything to system installing/adding/changing config etc before the system went snail :( Can anyone tell me what could be the problem here?
TIA Mustafa
Check processor and memory useage with the top command. Also kill netscape, and do a "ps aux | grep netscape" and kill off any other netscape processes you might find ("kill -9 pid") Also do a "ps aux | more" and look and see if there are any programs running that you don't need and kill them off.
