Wanting to add X modes to my current configuration, I noticed that the `vidtune' program, which once was useful to me, is not there anymore.
Maybe, it's `xvidtune' you're looking for? `xvidtune' still comes with xf86 ;)
Looking around, I saw that there is a `kvidtune' (but I do not use KDE) and `xfine'.
`xfine' seems to be what I need, yet it comes with no documentation that I could find, however, and even speaks German by default, which is not really appropriate for my own case.
It's part of the SaX package and usually only called by sax; I've to admit the documentation isn't that exhaustive -- but you'll find some notes in the manual. Happily, xfine understands `--help' and it is consierd to obey `-l|--lang'. I'm not sure whether it respects LC settings, though... I'll file a bug report ;) -- Linux Frechet 2.2.14 #1 Fri Mar 17 00:27:51 GMT 2000 i686 unknown 2:47pm up 2 days, 6:39, 11 users, load average: 1.94, 1.43, 0.76 work : ke@suse.de Karl Eichwalder home : keichwa@gmx.net -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
