There is no PDC, BDC. Thank you for any idea: Gabor Kallai scar@scar.hu ------------------------------------------- The original question was: " Hello, Please help me if you can. I've just installed Suse Linux 6.3. I am a lamer to linux, but I try to tell you what is the problem. My SMC 9432 BTX 10/100 PCI network card was found by the system (can be seen when linux is booting). If I try ifconfig, the card looks like working, it's IP address (logical) 10.1.1.20, the read hardware address is O.K. (not FF:FF:FF.... or 00:00:00...). It is installed as epic100, eth0. If I try to telnet my system from it's console, it's ok. If I open the console window, and ping myself, it's ok. But from any other part of the network the system cannot be seen (even ping is not working), no telnet or ftp connection. The led of my HUB is green (means 100 mbs connection is o.k.) so the system is wired to the network. I used suse 5.0 (i hope this was it's version as far as I know) before, it worked fine with my card. What is the problem?
