I've been having this problem since 6.4 and I'm not quite sure how to troubleshoot.
My netscape keeps dying suddenly, and I'm not sure why. I upgraded recently to the latest version on ftp.suse.com hoping it would be solved but it has not.
The machine has about 400mb of memory, and I'm not doing anything unusual when it dies.
Have you updated the package "xshared" as well? Do you use the Netscape wrapper /usr/X11R6/bin/Netscape, or do you start the binary directly?
I'm currently using 4.74 from Netscape without the wrapper. I'm still having problems with viewing most IPIX virtual tours, a Java app, that I used to use fine back around 4.72. Would running 4.74 from the wrapper help, or would it kill me with this version of Netscape?
