I hate to go off topic away from how SUSE should market their product :) but maybe someone can tell me what might be going on when I try to run Quake II under SUSE 6.4. I assume it is a sound problem of some sort. Did a stardard kernel install so however they have the sound modules incorporated in the kernel by default. My sound was configured by alsaconf and works perfectly....other than letting Quake II initialize it. Weird because on my last install of SUSE 6.2 and not using alsa, sound under Quake II was no problem. Thanks for any input. This is the output I get when I try to execute the program: couldn't exec default.cfg couldn't exec config.cfg Console initialized. ------- sound initialization ------- sound sampling rate: 11025 Segmentation fault -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
