Hello everyone! I have a problem with hanging up modem after reaching the idle time. Sometimes it's working fine, sometimes the link remains active during quite a long period (60 minutes or more) I am using pppd with demand mode and idle time set to 180 seconds. Linux box serves as a proxy for about 20 computers in local area network. My link won't hang up even if there's noone browsing the internet. Maybe there is some communication between my squid proxy and ISP's DNS servers? Anybody has an idea how to configure the pppd to hang up my modem after reaching the idle time? Looking forward to your suggestions.
