Depending on the machines transfer from/to I have gotten 9.8MB/s using ftp.
That is from a 600Mhz Athlon (Linksys Etherfast) to a 300 Mhz AMD K6II
(3com509). I am not setting any options for the tulip driver. It screams
compared to 10Mb/s
