I have a SuSE Linux box Pentium 200 MMX, 80 MB RAM, 4.3 GB HDD. I want to connect it to my cable modem. AFAIK, the cable modem, made by RCA has it's own IP address, and acts as a DHCP server. the Cable Television Modem (CTM) assigns an IP address, based on a hostname, which is basicly like a serial number. In case it matters, the service provider is @home TIA tdowning31@home.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
