Nope. SuSEs kernel has the necessary patches.
Ciao, Stefan
Using hdparm with my old UDMA66 hd, I have just found out that it was faster with dma disabled, than with udma enabled, about 120Mbyte/sec vs 140Mbyte/sec.
Nobody knows what could have been?

ps: My HD was a Quantum CX 8.4 gigabyte and my controller was the one on Biostar Mk7a.
What about Promise U66 RAID FAST IDE. Can someone shortly tell me what it is and can I use it with SuSE 6.4.
