You need a script in /usr/X11R6/bin called gnome and this is what you put in the script. #!/bin/sh exec /opt/gnome/bin/gnome-session After you put this in the directory..it should work. Regards, * Glauber (dexter_linux@yahoo.com) [000717 05:48]:
Hi everybody, I've just installed Helix Gnome and I've got no errors. When I started gdm I got some problems with 2 libs and I copyed them from the net. But now, I can't start gnome. When I type wmlist, gnome doesn't appear in the list and I can't get "startx gnome" working. Gnome does not appear in Yast susewm configuration. Even if I set Change configuration file / DEFAULT_WM=gnome, I can't load gnome. The only way to start gnome is to set DISPLAYMANAGER=gdm. Does anyone know how can I put gnome into the wmlist again? Thanks again and sorry if I've commited any spelling or grammar mistake. Glauber
