Still problems: When trying to mount cdrom from KDE desktop icon I get "No Medium Found" I have cdroms in both drives. /dev/cdrom is linked to /dev/scd0

Hmm. Jim,
root@marvin:/usr/local/bin > ls -l /dev/sr0 && /dev/scd0 brw-r----- 2 root disk 11, 0 Mar 11 11:11 /dev/sr0 bash: /dev/scd0: Keine Berechtigung same as your result, but in german ;-)

Enter /dev/sr1 Well, this works, but /dev/sr0 doesn't; "medium not found. Likewise: bash-2.03# mount -t iso9660 /dev/sr1 /cdrom mount: block device /dev/sr1 is write-protected, mounting read-only bash-2.03# mount -t iso9660 /dev/sr0 /cdrom mount: block device /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only mount: No medium found bash-2.03# -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
