[SLE] (semi-ot) question about working with svgalib

Hey group,
Sorry about this, but after two or three days of web searching, reading the
man pages, etc., I'm at a loss, and I just gotta know...
Is there a way I can treat an offscreen mode 5 context as a one-dimensional
array of bytes 64000 in length? If someone knows how to do this, can you
please let me know off-list?
