Hi all, I want to use ADSL connection on linux system, so I tried with Turbolinux6.0 and rp-pppoe-1.9.(http://www.roaringpenguin.com/pppoe.html) I succeeded, BUT actually I want to use ADSL with suse 5.3(kernel 2.0.35). rp-pppoe-1.9 requires kernel 2.0.36 later, so I tried with suse 5.3 and pppoe-0.3.(http://www.ecf.toronto.edu/~stras/pppoe.html) But I failed. Does someone know any solution? log of pppoe-0.3 ------------------------------- Wed Jun 21 17:42:16 2000 Sending Ethernet header: h_dest: ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff: h_source: **:**:**:**:**:**: h_proto: 0x8863 (PPPOE Discovery) PPPoE header: ver: 0x1 type: 0x1 code: 0x09 session: 0x0000 length: 0x0004 (PADI) PPPoE tag: type: 0101 length: 0000 (Service name) Received packet at Wed Jun 21 17:42:16 2000 Ethernet header: h_dest: **:**:**:**:**:**: h_source: **:**:**:**:**:**: h_proto: 0x8863 (PPPOE Discovery) PPPoE header: ver: 0x1 type: 0x1 code: 0x07 session: 0x0000 length: 0x0023 (PADO) PPPoE tag: type: 0101 length: 0000 (Service name) PPPoE tag: type: 0102 length: 0007 (AC Name) data (UTF-8): HK-NRP3 PPPoE tag: type: 0104 length: 0010 (AC Cookie) data (bin): 3b30146affffffab704c1025ffffff92ffffffc1ffffff93ffffffbcffffff844478 Wed Jun 21 17:42:16 2000 Sending Ethernet header: h_dest: **:**:**:**:**:**: h_source: **:**:**:**:**:**: h_proto: 0x8863 (PPPOE Discovery) PPPoE header: ver: 0x1 type: 0x1 code: 0x19 session: 0x0000 length: 0x0004 (PADR) PPPoE tag: type: 0101 length: 0000 (Service name) Received packet at Wed Jun 21 17:42:16 2000 Ethernet header: h_dest: **:**:**:**:**:**: h_source: **:**:**:**:**:**: h_proto: 0x8863 (PPPOE Discovery) PPPoE header: ver: 0x1 type: 0x1 code: 0x65 session: 0x0000 length: 0x0026 (PADS) PPPoE tag: type: 0101 length: 0000 (Service name) PPPoE tag: type: 0202 length: 001e (AC System Error) data (UTF-8): AC: Cannot open PPPoE session. ------------------------------- (I hid h_dest and h_source just in case.) error log of pppoe-0.3 -------------------------------- sess_handler 710 pppd_handler 711 -------------------------------- thank. _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
