Why am I not surprise that Netscape 4.X is horribly buggy. If only the
3.X series support HTML 4.0 and the newer Java script, I will revert
back to it any day. Anyway, I find that as long as I have Java (why do
they keep on insisting to implement their own version of Java?) turned
off, Netscape is relatively stable.
Back to the thread at hand though, why was the original poster not
able to view PNG's with the version of Communicator shipped with
6.4? Communicator clearly support that. Does it use libpng? Maybe that
is the problem if the poster did not have it installed.
While I have you here, I would like to thank you guys for a wonderful
distro! I switched over from Redhat when SuSE 6.0 came out and have
never looked back. My only wish is that you include more Window Maker
dock apps. They are easy to find on the Net but including them will be
good for people trying it out for the first time.
See you guys at the Linux Business Expo in Toronto.
Charles
