Hi everyone.
We want to delete the Linux partition we created via fips and yast, set the whole disk back to windoze and start again. (reasons too complicated to explain but we need to know how to do this!). fdisk under DOS will not let us delete the partition which it sees as extended DOS and not ext2. We have a bootable CD and 6.4 and a ruined linux on /dev/hda/5, 6 and 7. No, it is beyond fsck.
Best wishes from Steve.
tying fdisk /MBR should make the partion available to dos/windows AFAIK Hope it helps -- Togan Muftuoglu toganm@turk.net -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
