Hello,
I am trying to format a floppy with ext2 file system but each time I try,
mke2fs is hanging. I am doing:
# fdformat /dev/fd0
and then
# mkfs -t ext2 /dev/fd0
here, mke2fs does not finish and the light on the floppy drive will not
turn off. I cannot kill mke2fs.
I have Suse 6.2 but I just tried upgrading the ext2fs.rpm to the one from
Suse 6.4 but with the same results. I tried three different floppy disks
but no success. I also have Redhat 6.1 on this machine and I can format
there with no trouble. Does anyone know what's going on?
Thank you for any help,
Michael
