I don't know much about MatLab, so I can't really judge compatibility, but the KDE guys recently announced Kalamaris. Take a look at http://www.arrakis.es/~rlarrosa/kalamaris.html //Anders On 14-Jun-00 Jesse Marlin [SMTP:JLM@COMPGEN.COM] wrote:

Hello Linux folks,
Does anybody know if there Mathlab or its GNU substitution available for Linux. Thanks in advance
You mean MatLab (www.mathworks.com). And there have been linux versions available. There is also a linux version of Mathematica (www.wolfram.com). There is also a freely available vector based math package called SciLab. You can probably find that on freshmeat.net.
