I am having sound problem after installing the latest GTK+ and Glib RPMs (both
are versions 1.2.8).

I have checked and rechecked my modules.conf file and it is as it should be. 
No changes have been made to the file.  I have a classic soundblaster 16.

After the install of aforementioned RPMs, during the boot sequence I get the
following error:
insmod: Note: /etc/modules.conf is more recent than
/lib/modules/2.2.14/modules.dep

When I try to load them manually, lsmod says they are loaded but I still get no
sound in KDE.

I confirmed that the hardware works (in case of a coincedence) by booting to
windows 98.

Any thoughts?
