Hello! I am planning to buy a new PC for use with SuSE Linux.
Because of low budget I'm interested if it is wise to invest in more MBs of RAM memory (128 instead of 64) and buy Celeron (566MHz) instead of PIII (550MHz)?
If youŽre low in budget buy better an AMD K6-2-500, they are cheaper than the Celerons. You also definitely donŽt need 128 MB if youŽre low in budget.
I would definitely go with the 128 of memory. With the low budget, the Celeron would be a good choice.
I use computer primarily for text processing and database applications.
Is it Celeron 566 powerful enough to run DVD movies with good graphic card?
Yes it is, but the AMD K6-2 does it too! HFH JLT
Not into DVD yet, but would believe that the Celeron would do the job.
Sincerely, Sasa
