Well, so does Enlightenment. However, I use ICEwm because it's fast, doesn't eat up a lot of RAm and it's easy to configure. How does Sawfish perform, is it as fast as ICE and Windowmaker?
I find Sawish to be small, very fast and very configurable -- you can make it look like almost anything you like! I would say it is as fast as ICE.
IMNSHO, from slowest to fastest: Enlightement: Big, slow, but ultra-configurable. My nephew's wm of choice. Sawfish: Also ultra-configurable, but not as comprehensive as E. IceWM: Reasonably light, fully GNOME-Compliant. XFCE: Lightest of the pack, but still slower than Ice (?). WindowMaker: THE Fastest GNOME window manager; probably the best balance of speed and functionality anyway. My favorite GNOME wm. And for flavor: Blackbox: NOT GNOME-Compliant, but who cares? It's FAST! I just use the apps anyway ;). -- -=|JP|=- "Why, oh, why didn't I take the blue pill?"
