Hello Yatsen, on Monday, June 05, 2000 at 00:59:13 +0000, you sat in front of your keyboard and wrote:
Actually, the window manager (and other things) is launched by the gnome session manager with a call to gnome-session and by default it launches IceWM at the first start. You can change this later with the gnome control center.
ICEwm, huh? That really surprises the hell out of me - I always thought that that Gnome goes hand in hand with Enlightenment!

Well, Enlightenment is not specifically intended to be GNOME's default window manager but can indeed deals with GNOME's features. I answered by experience. The first time I ran GNOME, the only GNOME compliant window managers that I had were IceWM and Enlightenment and IceWM was used as a window manager. For the Helix GNOME distribution, I believe that it should be Sawfish. -- Jean-François Bocquet <tns01@free.fr> === Error is not forever, hope for right+ |== ICQ: 69968770 ====================== Darkness is not the opposite of light| |== http://tns01.free.fr =========== -But only absence- day will follow night.| +-- Linux User #177410 ---------------------------------------------*-- Lowell+ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
