I'm trying to move up to kernel 2.2.15, and I'm having some difficulties. If I build with make zImage I get a message during the compile that the image is too big, and the zImage file construction stops in mid-stream. If I use make bzImage it builds correctly, but the attempt to reboot off of it results in a message that runs something like invalid compression mode System halted and the bootup halts. I notice that the 6.4 install puts a file called vmlinuz and the /etc/lilo.conf stanza points at that file as the boot image. How do I build 2.2.15 correctly? -- Mark (stapleto@berbee.com) -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
