I gave my old 6.1 SuSE disks to a friend to introduce him to the wonderfull world of Linux. He is trying to install but he says that SuSE install is not seeing his CD Rom.
Excerpt of his email to me:
------------------------------- Hi Sean,
The card is an isa WDH-7001c for Mitsumi/Sony/Panasonic double speed drives, and the CD rom is a Panasonic 562-J. Card can be jumpered for different io addresses, mine is set at 300H but it can be set at 310h,320h or 330h, irq 9/10/11 mine is set at irq 11 for the card, CD Rom is set at irq3 dma3 afair.. ---------------------------------
I am unable to offer him any help, throwing it open to the list in case anyone has see the same problem.
Off to try and install 6.3 on a laptop with no CD Rom :)
Sean
