Yast tells me that those packages were already there. It says that I
have gtk+ 1.2.6. I looked in /usr/lib but could only find files labeled
gtk+ 1.2 Perhaps the correct libraries were never installed, and the
rpm database is incorrect. I originally installed SuSE 6.2 from
scratch, and then updated to 6.3 I will investigate some more. Rob.
