What's the name of qmail package in suse? I can't find it. I also checked ftp site for a newer package, but there isn't a package there too. Richard wrote:

That document claims that qmail is more secure and easy to install. Am I on the right track?
In my own experience .... yes :-)
Sendmail is fine for dialup but if you want to configure a server that's connected all of the time then something else is better.
I did set out to do something with Exim but to do that you have to chop your own makefile around. This is fine if you are the programmer who wrote it. I've tried the rpms for exim with SuSE 6.1 to 6.4 and they didn't want to know. So, I think that sorts that one out ?
Qmail is complex but you do get some good docs with it that tell you what to do. In comparison sendmail assumes that you worked at Berkeley or somewhere similar and the you have a brain like Einstein :-) Other thing is you have to be good at cryptic clues :-)
Thanks
