Again, for these errors get cgiwrap. It will tell you were the script failed! But, in the meantime - if its a perl script - where it says #!/usr/bin/perl put #!/usr/bin/perl -- at the end. Apparently it has something to do with DOS line terminations. Kev

I did set permissions via chmod according to docs and I also went ahead and reinstalled apache. The default cgi's still work I just can't add to /usr/local/httpd/cgi-bin and have them work. Here is the error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. <<
Ah. An Internal Server Error. That's a different story. This generally means that the CGI program was executed but either didn't send over the proper headers (ie, a Content-Type line) or crashed (eg, segfaulted).
I am using the default httpd config I've been looking for some docs for configuring httpd. Please excuse the stupid question but how do I add a handler via the AddHandler directive.
Thanks lots.... <<
