The way I got round this was to set an alias in /etc/aliases
root: emailaddress@somewhere.com, \root
then run newaliases.
This way I get a copy sent to root and a copy to the other email address specified.
Isnt there a possibility just to set the email adress that cron mails.. I want to recive all other mails that root recives, just not that silly mail from cron
Are you using netdate? How about redirecting stdout to /dev/null:
netdate timer.sunet.se >/dev/null
In that case you only get mail if it doesn't succeed. To log output use:
netdate timer.sunet.se >>/var/log/netdate (or other file) instead.
