I have been told by my isp that iI can't run linux on my new internet connection because their are no drivers for linux. What I want to know is , is it possible to run NT4 as the Inertnet connection and server for the other 5 computers (windoze98) and have suse 6.4 as the web server and mail server. As I am sort of new to in house networking are there any recomened books and howtos I should read.
Yes, but it will take add-on software to the NT box for NAT and redirecting ports to your mail and web server. What type of internet connection doesn't have drivers? Is it an internal xDSL or cable card? If it is something external that it is connected to your computer via ethernet, then most likely you can get Linux connected.
