hi
Again this is about the permissions on dos filesystems. The man pages refer to "umsdos" . How do i use it ?
The standard dos filesystem (fat or vfat) does not support individual file permissions, the umask sets permissions for the entire volume. IIRC, if you mount it as type umsdos rather than vfat you will not get long filename support, so you must decide on the tradeoff. To use umsdos you should be able to just change the filesystem type in the appropriate fstab entry (from vfat to umsdos) and have support for it available to your kernel, either compiled in or a module. Thanx in advance cheedu
